Full Day Preschool:
New, as of July 2019, we have a full day preschool program for 3 & 4 year olds that runs year round, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday. This program runs out of the Nursery room in the Norwood Community Centre. We spend much of our time outside taking advantage of the amazing green space. We have a balance of structured and unstructured learning though play. Children are provided with up to 3 snacks/ day depending on when they arrive and there is a nap time after lunch for those who are still napping.
Part-time Nursery School:
Our Nursery School program has been operating in St. B for almost 50 years! We have been transitioning towards a full year/ full day program but we have maintained one nursery group in the mornings. The class runs from 8:45-11:30, Monday to Friday, September to June. This program is in the Nursery room in conjunction with the Preschool program.
Kinder Program:
We offer care to children attending Kindergarten. Families are able to access our centre at 7:00 a.m. For children attending Nordale school, we walk them to school in the morning and pick them up for the walk back at 11:30 a.m. Children who attend Ecole Provencher are bussed from our location to their school, and then are bussed back for the afternoon.
Before and After Program:
For families who need care before and after school, we are open at 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Children who attend Nordale school are walked to school in the morning, and picked up again at 3:15. Children attending Ecole Provencher, are walked to the bus, and picked up from the bus at the end of the school day.
Nordale Before and After Program:
Beginning September 2, 2014, we opened a new satellite program out of Nordale School. To qualify for this program, you must be a student attending Nordale School. This program will begin at 7:15 a.m. and children will walk to their classroom when the first bell rings at 8:25 a.m. Children will then walk back to Rm 19 at 3:15 and we will remain open until 6:00 p.m.
